Mission San Xavier del Bac - Revisiting Older Images

A couple of years ago - I made a trip to Arizona with a point and shoot camera to help me decide if I wanted to pursue my interest in photography before investing a lot of time and money.  I planned a trip to San Xavier del Bac (also known as the 'White Dove of the Desert") near Tucson while I was in the area.  It was being restored and the scaffolding was supposed to come down the week before my trip.  Best laid plans of mice and men - it didn't work out that way - so I focused most of my photography on the rear and the interior.  Here is a slideshow of some of the images applying some of the processing techniques I have learned since that trip.  If I get to go back to Arizona - I would definitely like to visit the mission again.

Repost Of Assateague Pictures

The link to the Assateague slideshow pictures "broke" so I'll try a repost of the pictures from last March and April.

Snow

One of my goals this year is to post something each month. We almost got to have a "White Christmas" in Virginia Beach.  I was on duty that weekend - so I took advantage of having to be out anyway and these are some of the pictures...

Pipestem State Park, West VA

In October, My husband and I spent a weekend at Pipestem State Park in West Virginia. There are 2 lodges, cabins, and campsites. We stayed at the Mountain Creek Lodge where access is by a sky tram ride into and out of the gorge. A continental breakfast is included for guests at this lodge.
